Day 22/50

How many of you who read my blog are waiting for my entry where I say I have fallen..
Eating lots of sugar again ...blah, blah, blah
One thing I have noticed after blogging for 6 years is that people only comment when disaster happens..
No one bothers to leave a comment when things are all good in your life.
I always wonder why this is.
Do we thrive on others unhappiness only
Do we thrive when others fail...does it make us feel better with our failures.
Well I have no idea why people are like this...but its my experience in life.
What I have to say today is...
and all is going well.
Nor have I failed
I have not given in to temptations.

I'm doing well.

The way I see it, isn't necessarily the way you see it.

  1. You are so right about people only commenting when they think things are going wrong! Not sure why that is. Personally I love to see others doing well - it is so encouraging to me! Glad to know your "no sugar" challenge is going well!

  2. I don't know why people tend to do this Marcelle.

In my opinion I think it's because when things are going well people tend to believe that you don't need help or any possitivity because you know what you are doing. When things go wrong perhaps they are not happy with the "failure" but more quick to offer advice or tell you that things will be ok? My thoughts anyway from my experiences.

Other than that I can say keep up the great work Marcelle, you continue to inspire me!!

  3. Syl might be right by saying that people think one doesn't need help when all is going well. For me, I try to comment as much as possible on my favorite blogs good or bad.

I have to say that I'm not waiting for your failure because I've been following you for a couple of years now and know that once you set your mind to it, you do it and you will succeed in this challenge.

The gain last Friday is a bummer indeed. You did everything right and I have no explanation why you gained but I'm sure it will be gone too. Keep up the good work and you will be fine.

  4. My three lovelies!!!! you always comment...Thanks so much...and much love to you 3

  5. I was going to say the same as the others. I don't think people thrive on others' failures (maybe some do, but not the majority). Instead I think it's just that hearing someone is struggling is enough to motivate them to comment to keep you moving in the right direction. I try to comment as much as I can. Sometimes I think I comment on blogs a lot more than I write on my own blog, and I don't get nearly as many comments as I give. In fact, most of my friends and family don't even read. My best-friends didn't even read when I was in Africa and we barely spoke (due to time change and costs)! That hurt my feelings, I must admit!

  6. I have faith in you my friend. I never wait for you to say you failed.

  7. Grrrr I hate trying to comment using the iPad! I wasn't done yet! You can't fail as long as you keep trying and you always do. I'm still reading...still with ya.
