Day 13/ 17 DD

When I woke up today I decided I didn't want to weigh myself, nor did I want to count calories...
I ended up not weigh in today, but did count calories.
I had a look at my new Tosca *Stripped* book last night and she says * Don't count calories *
Now that is going to be a hard one for me to do as I find counting calories ( before it was Points ) it gave me an idea where I was daily ~ can't see myself not counting calories...even if its just vaguely and not too strict, as counting something, gives me an idea of where I am in the day...

I had a good day eating wise.

Egg and fruit with yogurt for breakfast
Green shake for snack
Left over Turkey and Veggies for lunch with apple
Caramel coffee ( for energy before a run ) and probiotic drink for snack
Mackerial Fish and salad for dinner

I drank 3 cups of green tea
8 glasses of water
1 coffee
1 caramel coffee

I did a Kettlebell upper body workout this morning for 40 mins.
Worked with the heavier weight that arrived this week so felt it..and loving the workout
Then late afternoon my 2 neighbors and I did a 8.46 Km run ( 5.2 miles )

Tomorrow is going to be a huge challenge for me
My neighbor has a birthday and I've been invited over for a BBQ
now there will be cake and pudding...and I will have to see how I cope with that situation.
I have reached my goal weight on day 11 of the 17 DD, so thinking I could have a small portion of one but not both and then continue the plan till the 17 days is over...should be okay..

I do have a run planned tomorrow morning before the BBQ....burn the calories :)

Day 12 / 17DD

Starting weight ~ 63.5 kg's ( 140 lbs )
Today ~ 61.9kg's ( 136.5 lbs )

My goal weigh was 62 kg's _ so reached that within 11 days.

My jeans that were fitting * tightly * in January, are now loose
I have lost a lot of cm on this plan...compared to kg's ( lbs )
Going without sugar has flatten my abs a lot and of course doing the Kettlebell workout.
I swear in one month of doing Kettlebell, my abs have tightened ( the skin, nothing can tighten )
:(
But hey, I accept that I'm 49 in June, a mother of 3 children, a grandmother and in menopause!!!
So for all of that I'm very happy with their look.
I see many girls, in their 20's, 30's who have not had children and have flabby, plump tummy's
So I'm grateful for what I have....
My abs are looking so much better now compared to 2 years ago when I weight 84kg's ( 185.2 lbs )

I remember back during those days how I struggled with doing a simple thing like pulling my underwear on. My legs moved to the side otherwise the roll on my stomach would make lifting my leg up harder to do. I remember wearing those * pull me in tightly * underwear to try make my growing stomach look flatter....When I looked in the mirror I saw this menopausal woman's middle looking back at me and told myself, YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT YOU ARE GETTING OLDER...all older women get stomachs...But something within me could not accept that having a stomach was the way it had to be once you reached 45....I have seen women that age and older in magazine, looking amazing and I knew if they could do it, so could I...and so the work began.
I am will be taking a photo of my abs in a months time to see if there is an improvement, with another month of Kettlebell....Already the muscle is much hard and the sides are more defined...
Ignore the skin...anyone on a weightloss journey know's all about the skin that's left behind once the fat is lost.

Day 11/17DD

Starting weight ~ 63.5 kg's ( 140 lbs )
Today ~ 62.3 kg's ( 137.3 lbs )
Total loss of 1.2 kg's ( 2.6lbs ) in 11 days.

I haven't blogged about the plan since Monday...cause on Tuesday I crashed!!
I was totally exhausted and it showed all over my body...( my face )
I had two classes to teach that day as well, so had to push with my everything to get through them both, I even had an 2 hour sleep during the afternoon, something I haven't done in ages.
When I climbed on the scale on Tuesday morning I had GAINED .6 kg's ( 1.3lbs ) over night!!
I then knew it was time to take a step back and not to train as much...and get more rest days in my program. I have to plan a training program for myself and not just head out for a run or do a Kettlebell workout at a whim.

Wednesday was my REST DAY
Weight on Wednesday morning, remained the same as Tuesday ( gain )
I did a photography shoot and Personal Trained a Kettlebell workout for 40 mins
It demonstrated and then stopped.....and taught instead of working out myself.
Thursday....my 11th Day on the 17 DD
Weight has come down...
I lost the gain from Tuesday and Wednesday from exhaustion, as I know it was not from the foods I've been eating.
And today I lost an extra 100g's ( 0.2 lbs )

I see my goal weight of 62 kg's ( 136.7 lbs ) in sight now.

Today the book * The Eat-Clean Diet stripped that I ordered in February arrived!!!! :)

Feedback on first 7 Days / 12 DD

FIRST WEEK ON 17 DAY DIET FEEDBACK

Starting weight ~ 63.5 kg's ( 140 lbs )
Today ~ 62.4 kg's ( 137.6 lbs )

Loss in the first week....
1.1 kg's
2.4 lbs

MY FEELINGS

Honestly, not impressed!!!

To think of all the work I have put into this week
Making sure I stick with the program and not giving in to temptations.
I lost this sort of weight while doing Weight Watchers and could eat anything within my my Points allowed...so this result for the FIRST week has not blown me away.

LET'S FACE THE FACTS

I'm under my Weight Watchers weight goal of 64.6 kg's ( 142.4 lbs )
I'm not currently overweight so there is not much fat/weight for me to lose
Its going to be tougher for me
But I did expect a little more
My goal was to hit 62 kg's ( 136.7 lbs ) this week.

I'm interested to see how this new week goes weight wise for me...

My Weeks training results were my best for the last 6 months..
And a week where I was without carbs, so that goes to show...
My body does not rely on carbs to function.
I think I'm like my mother, Carb resistant!!

I ran 43 km ( 26.7 miles ) my personal record for one week.
Trained for 9 hrs 10 mins _ did 2 kettlebell workouts I didn't write down
Burned a whopping 5376 calories
Did 11 Workouts...with those other two I didn't write down.

Am Ready For The New Week...

Day 7 / 17 DD

I decided not to weigh in this morning..
Its Monday tomorrow and officially I would have been on this plan for a week so want to see what my weeks total loss is.

This morning was up early as I had planned a run with the girls in the neighborhood.
Had my lemon/hot water drink, ate my breakfast of 2 boiled eggs and probiotic yogurt
I drank a Caramel coffee blend of 98 calories as this gives me the energy I need to complete a long run...
Other than that, no extra water as I find I spend the first 3/4 hours going to the loo often after my 3 glasses of water...one Green tea and coffee and the last thing I want to do is have to stop along the route.

Ran 11.20 km this morning ( 6.95 Miles )
I ran it in 1 hour and 22 mins...
Burned 943 calories
17% fat
124-149 HR

We walked the hills and ran the flats for the first few km, at the 6km ( 3.7 miles ) mark my neighbor and I broke away and took another longer route home as we felt we wanted to more, while the rest went back home.
Then we pushed each other up the hills and with our pace...there was not room for slacking.

Got home and guzzled down water and a GREEN shake.
I didnt get to have a proper lunch today as I had people around for a family photo shoot...
I did lie in the sun for an hour and half after my Green shake and when it was lunch time the people arrived.
When they left I grabbed my snack of yogurt and Blueberries
I was starving by the time it was dinner time...first I had a webcam chat to my granddaughter and then after about 45 mins I told her i had to go as I needed to cook and was starving..

Minced Turkey and Salad was for dinner with Green Tea
So today my eating was not where is should have been...I never ate anything bad, but didn't have enough protein today.
I drank 8 glasses of water
2 cups of Green Tea
2 cups of coffee...

Ate only 1 1 78 calories today.

Tomorrow I will do a recap of my week, but can tell you already that this week I have run the most KM since the start of this year and I'm meant to be exhausted and have no energy and this is not the case...
I am a bouncing ball :)
