Day 3

I had a good day 3 

I eat to plan and I trained for one hour.

I did a photo shoot the late morning...took a probiotic drink with me for a snack as was not going to be home.

I tried something new for dinner.
I wanted to make brussels sprouts and know they are pretty boring when steamed.
So I fried in a Tsp Olive Oil, 1 onion, mushrooms and green peppers
Steamed the brussels sprouts and then added it to the food frying...
I stirred the pan allowing the brussels sprouts to absorb the taste of the onions, mushrooms and peppers.
Was delish....and so much better than the boring version we normally eat.

The photo is of my Tuesday nights dinner....

I'm a little worried about tomorrow as been invited to a wedding...
I am taking photo's so hoping that will keep me busy and not thinking about food or wine and I don't want to have any wine.
I have told Hubby I will drive us back and not use the bus provided as this way I know I have a reason not to drink, or be tempted.
I am very motived so will make the best choices food wise and not eat any dessert.

The way I see it, isn't necessarily the way you see it.

Day 2

Day two on 17 Day Diet was a successful one for me...

Breakfast I made the Kefir/Blackberry shake from the 17 DD book.
First time I've made it and must say I will use the Flaxseeds instead of the Tsp Flaxseed oil and that spoilt the taste for me.
 My snack was a probiotic drink as I was washing floors and trying to dusk after the few days away...
I also had to rush off to teach a Kettlebell class....
That was my workout for the day as well...
 For Lunch I boiled 2 eggs and mixed a small salad together with lettuce, cherry tomato's and pepper 
The dressing was olive oil and Balsamic vinegar
 Snack time I had a 0% Greek yogurt ( running out of them now ) and fresh strawberries w
For dinner last night I met up with some of the ladies I teach gym to on a Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
I had one glass of sparkling water with a slice of lemon
salmon grilled and salad which was mainly made up of lettuce leaves

I drank 4 cups of green tea
2 coffee's and 8 glasses of water.

So all in all.....a good day.
Am currently on Day 3

Day One

Yesterday I had a successful day on DAY ONE on 17 Day Diet.
I am so motivated to do the next 17 days without failing.

I taught a class last night with interval training, so that was my training for the day as I had hubby home  yesterday - he went for a run as the weather turned out to be good the late afternoon and evening.

Breakfast - Two scrambled eggs, mushroom, cherry tomato's
Lunch - Blueberries and Fage fat free Greek yogurt
Snack - Probiotic Drink
Dinner - Salmon, Steamed veggies and small salad 
4 cups of Green Tea
8 Glasses of water.

I stopped my hormone pills two months ago to go naturally through menopause.
I have noticed a change in my body due to that...and the only Greek yogurt I can find in my town is 6 and 10% fat.....I founds 2% fat and fat free Greek yogurt in Italy which I will eat for the next few days.
I have not been toning as much as before...
I was on holiday from November to January in Cape Town where I didn't do weights besides one or two runs a week...with lots of extra eating.
Then I got home to snow in Germany, so ran a few times on the treadmill and went through a very down emotional patch...
April I went back to Cape Town for 2 weeks...ran once!!
Then went to Abu Dhabi and Dubai and ran 4 times....

So what I am saying is...for the last few months my life has been totally out of routine....
I have been home for 6 weeks and trying to get my routine going again, the weather is terrible, summer has not arrived in Germany and its nearly July...

I still fit comfortably into my clothing....
I do feel I have gained BODY FAT...more than kilo's
I know with being 50 now ( heaven's that number sounds so old )
I have to work a little harder than I did in my 40"s and I am ready to do just that.

I'm back.....

I went to Italy for my 50th birthday this past weekend 
I loved every moment there
The weather is fantastic compared to the weather in Germany
I lay in the sun, swam in the pools, walked, ran,  drank wine, had ice cream and even ate a Pizza.
I totally relaxed...
( In my way of course )

NOW am back and decided to do Cycle ONE of the 17 Day Diet again.
This plan really works so I trust it.
I am feeling FAT.
Yes, I have gained weight....
I know what I have to do so am all motivated to get going and JUST DO Nike always says.

I will be blogging here again as I need to stay true regarding my emotions etc etc while doing this plan after a good 6 months where I have been maintaining my weight.

I have a rule...if I gain 4KG or more....I make the changes as I know it will be 5, then 6 and before I know it I will have gained all the weight back.
And that is not going to happen!!!!
