Day 12

Is anyone reading my blog??
Or am I talking to myself....:)

So its day 12 on the 17 Day diet today.
Another successful day 
This evening Hubby kept on offering me a glass of wine and I kept on refusing and explaining why I was not drinking wine....that I would again later but not right now.
The Dr does say not to drink wine during the first 17 days.
The 50daysnosugarchallenge says the same, but one can have a glass on special occasions.

This evening I'm drink * Bubble * water with slices of lemon in a glass Sarah sent me from USA for my 50th birthday.
I just feel better drinking water this way tonight...helps me not miss the wine..

Its such a great evening.
WE lay in the sun today for 3 hours, our tans are coming along nicely.
Then this evening Hubby braaied ( BBQ ) for our dinner, we sat outside at the patio furniture having our meal...something we haven't done yet this summer as summer is only arriving in Germany now.

As I have mentioned, I have cut back on the this morning had Greek yogurt, 1Tsp flaxseed, 4 strawberries and a handful of Blueberries with Green Tea for breakfast..

Lunch was...Turkey and salad with Green Tea

Dinner was....Grilled Chicken and salad

Snacks....Probiotic drink and 2nd snack I had more yogurt ( 4 Tsp ) and 2 Strawberries 

Drinking lots of water today.

The way I see it, isn't necessarily the way you see it.

Day 11

I'm pinching myself that I'm already on Day 11!!!!
 Time is flying. 
In the past when I've done the 17 DD I have always felt that time is dragging..
But not this time.
I do think having to continue with this way of eating for the the next 45 days...Is what is making the time I know its a long long way to go still, I want to do this....I do not want to fail...

I went to do grocery's for next week and didn't buy as much fruit as usual as I only want to eat Blueberries and a few Strawberries - I did buy 2 small apples for my snacks with Greek yogurt.
Do you know I can't find Total Greek yogurt in this country anymore...the 2%  was really nice.
The only Greek yogurt I can find is 10g's per that is what I am eating.

Today I have SO much energy...
I got up early to clean and just carried on and on...
Its such a good feeling as lately I have struggled to get myself out of bed or found motivation to do anything.

My calf was so sore last night while teaching The Power Ladies
I had to take a pill for the muscle when I went to bed...
This morning it feels so much better.

I'm off to train the soccer team in the next town in an hours time.
My first time with the team...a little nervous...

Day 10

Its Day 10 today
Honestly, no craving, am not struggling.
This way of eating has become a way of life for me...
Its while on holiday I relax and add foods like Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Rice cakes, Ice Cream and more wine than usual to my eating ...and from those few extra's I gain weight.
With doing the No sugar Challenge on Facebook I am very aware of sugars and see that in my breakfast every day I have too much this is an area I am busy looking at and making changes at the moment. 
A few Blackberries is going to have to be enough...not half an Orange, Strawberries, Kiwi, Blackberries and sometimes some black grapes with my yogurt for breakfast.
This challenge and app for iPad is teaching me so much about Sugars...and where they hide.

Today I did a 7.35km run in the forest in my Vibram shoes....My little toes is feeling a lot better....its just my right calve that gives me trouble after every run I do in the shoes.
Now am hobbling and have to teach The Power Ladies a class in hour and a half.

I upped my Protein today as yesterday I didn't eat enough and by 9pm I was am feeling so much better.

After my run today I did a short photo shoot with my neighbors daughter..Her photo with my entry today.

Day 9

The photo with this entry was taken last Saturday when Hubby and I attended a friends wedding.
This was the first German wedding I've attended.
It was a lot of fun!

Today is Day I am still motivated and not having anyway cravings, or withdraws after a few months of having more sugar in my diet as usual.
When we were in Italy for my 50th the other day I did eat lots of ice cream, even ate potato's ( which I don't do anymore ) drank lots of wine...
I really thought I would find it hard and suffer...
NOTHING....thank goodness.

I'm also doing the 50daysnosugarchallenge and bought an app for my iPad so I can check the amount of sugars in foods before I eat it.
Honestly.....I'm going to have to be more careful with the amount of fruits I there is no fruit I can find that is idea sugar wise..
The challenge says to not have more than 30g of sugar a day
6g per 100g is the ideal...
I'm really learning a lot more about sugars at the moment with this challenge.

Yesterday I taught a mixed workout to The Power ladies.
Warm up, Low Impact, Boxing, Intervals and then abs toning on the floor, ending with a stretch.

Today I taught a Kettlebell class outdoors as was a lovely day to be outdoors.
Being outside we did Boxing for 20 mins...then toning with the KB and ended with swings and a stretch.

Day 8

I'm still around, just very busy at the moment.
I am officially on Day 8 today.
Had no problems, still going strong.
I attended a wedding on Saturday and didn't break my 17 Days...
I drank water....and ate salmon and veggies only.
No pudding or wine 
So felt good the next day as I could continue on plan without feeling bad about falling off for the evening.

I can't run, due to my little toe...but want to give it a try this week, around Thursday.
I have been getting up in the morning and doing a KB toning workout before breakfast....
Yesterday I also added skipping.

I joined the 50daysnosugarchallenge on Facebook.
Am on day 3...and that is also going well.
I bought an app for my iPad with the sugars in only allowed 30g of sugar a day.
