Happy Valentine's ~ No cooking

Happy Valentine's EVERYONE
Have taken the day off today...
So no training for me
But am watching what I eat as off to dinner with my hubby later this evening.

Guess what I found on Friday while out grocery shopping
GREEK YOGURT.
Have not tried it yet as want to finish the other yogurt I have in my fridge.
See lots more calories per 100ml for Greek compared to plain...but sugar wise a better choice.

  1. I'm surprised it's more cals. My Greek yogurt is 0%fat and is quite low in cals. It's the protein content that should WOW you. Mine is 20 grams per serving. I'll be interested in how you find it. Enjoy! I always loved a good find when I lived abroad. I remember almost rioting to get my hands on some Yoplait yogurt that came in from Australia once. :)

  6. I haven't tried the greek yoghurt yet. It's quite a bit more expensive here and I can't afford it for now. Lots of people seem to like it and I hear it is very filling because of the protein.

Have a great night with hubby!

  7. Not sure if this posted. Here is a link to make your own Greek yogurt. It's easy and very good.

  8. I love fat free greek yogurt, I use it for everything, a great snack is grilled chicken tossed in greek yogurt with cucumbers and tomatoes, roll it up in a whole weath wrap and you have a healthy lunch.

  10. That Total brand is there in a non-fat version too, that box is pink.

My grocery store doesn't sell this strangely enough while other stores in my village do. But I don't want to go to another store to get just one thing. Think I'm going to ask it this week if they can add it so I can buy it in my own store.

Hope you had a great night out with H.

  11. Funny: took another look at the yogurt and it's Dutch (the language on the box)

  12. I also saw that Greek yogurt have more calories than plain. I like plain more than Greek, that's why I'm eating that instead.
