Tuesday * Tick *

Weight this morning 64kg's ~ (141.1 lbs )
Frustration as that takes me up again.
My first thoughts this morning were...
WHY DO I PUT MY BODY THROUGH WHAT I DO DAILY WHEN I DON'T GET THE RESULTS.
Is my body where it wants to be...
This is the weight I've been maintaining since February this year....its the weight WW told me I needed to be ~ 64.4kg's ~ ( 142 ) for my age, my height etc etc...
Why cause once upon a time I saw 59.8kg's ( 132 lbs ) on the scale do I want to see it again...
I landed up in hospital at that weight...
I lost my balance, my eyesight went funny, I felt terrible
but yet knowing all that its a number I still want to be.
I think I need to refocus my thoughts...
More on being healthy and maintaining than losing
On toning my body more than losing weight...
I have to get over the obsession of that number.
This morning I got up at 6am, and did my 100 sit ups, the 4 sets of 10 push ups, the 4 sets of 12 lunges and squats, then went off to make myself a cup of coffee...My hubby was a way on a business trip so had to make it myself...:( nothing tastes as good as his morning coffee.
At 7.30am I was collected by my neighbor for a photography job.
I went off to her work in Fulda to take photo's of the staff that work in the hotel she manages, the restaurant and bar area and 3 bedrooms.
I had a great time, and when I got home around 1.30pm I was starving...

Photo below is my last nights dinner
So today I did my Online group challenge
I had NO treats
I cycled for one hour on my indoor bike in my bedroom, burned 586 calories, HR 110 ~ 158
And then logged on....
So another successor day for me that gets a *Tick*

  1. I know how hard it is getting over wanting to be a certain number... I was at one time 115'bs and no matter what I do I can't get there- I stay at 136-138- I still want it
I was sickly and not well at that time I was in a very bad relationship etc... and the doctors say I messed up my metabolism...I understand!! I wish I had the answers....

  2. Sweet Marcelle -
I get the number on the scale thing, really I do.
I wonder if you're perfect the way you are. You don't appear to have any fat on you, you eat clean, you work out like crazy - why drive yourself crazy trying to get to a certain number, especially if you feel and look great!?!

My SIL, who is quite thin, has lost weight since eating clean. The big change for her, is eating more. Breakfast of oatmeal and 4-5 egg whites, snack of almonds and a fruit, lunch of protein, veggies and complex carb, afternoon snack of chicken and veggies, dinner of more protein, a complex carb and veggies. It's a lot of food, but the scale moved for her. No calorie counting, no points, but eating lean proteins with complex carbs. It's worth looking into. Tosca Reno - Eat Clean Recharged.

I have no answers, just some thoughts.

You are gorgeous. You are healthy. You shouldn't be going crazy with this!

  3. Marcelle, I think you look fantastic and I'm going to say this because I care about you - get Heinz to hide that scale on you. It seems to be driving you crazy! I can understand you need to know what you weigh, I get that trust me, but when I was at your stage I would way myself multiple times a day. I was so obsessed with what that scale said and I would let it rule my day, my mood. I hide my scale for a month in my husbands car and it was so amazing to let the chains go. I know only weigh myself once a week and I take it for what it's worth. I reflect on how my week went, what improvements i can make or what I did right. I use it as a tool to stay on track, rather than one that drives me crazy.

Think about it Marcelle, you do everything right, you work your arse off and in the end you should celebrate the fact that you are a nana and look STUNNING and beautiful. Let the everday weighing in go and see what happens, trust me it's the best thing I have done. I still am after a certain number just like you, but I actually do have some work left to do. I think you are perfectly comfortable in your body and should continue striving for a healthy lifestyle and let the "number" go a bit.

I say this as your "friend" and someone who has been there, I hope you see it that way, I don't mean to offend in any way.
    xoxo

  4. I agree with above comments. Your body is telling you that you are were it needs to be. You are eating healthier (no artificial sugars, ect.) You are maintaining this weight and enjoying life. Minus your no treats this month. I am sure that Heinz has enjoyed you relaxing a little more. When I saw you in July you looked great. You have nothing to worry about. Try and not think about that number though I know where you are coming from.

  5. I told you this morning, maybe this is a weight that's comfortable for your body. When I look at your picture I see fabulous shoulders, a good posture and happy eyes. Just keep working out as you do, keep watching your food and let go of that number!

    Love ya!

  6. "that number" it drives so many of us crazy. I bounce back and forth between daily weigh ins, weekly, just go by the measuring tape. It's so frustrating. I think I'm slowly turning towards just going by the measuring tape. Especially after at one point seeing my measurements go up without my weight increasing. That was an eye opener. I knew it could happen, I just didn't really expect it to. The lightest I've been in my adult life is 132 as well, and honestly I don't know if I could reach that again - though I could certainly meet it half way. You will eventually find what works for you.

  8. You said it: we can do ourselves damage chasing after a number.

    I think you look terrific!

  9. For the number!! Instead look at how you feel and what you are putting into your body everyday. That is truly what counts!

  10. Sometimes your body is comfy at a certain weight. If you are healthy, tone, and at a good weight (you are), I think you're better off enjoying it than always pining for something else. But obviously it comes down to what makes YOU happy!
